At Grupo Energía Bogotá we are committed to ensuring that all our operations are included in a framework of sustainability, while at the same time seeking to create value for our shareholders, to create conditions for the prosperity and well-being of the communities and workers, and to improve the environment in the territories where our companies are present.

Sustainability strategy

We contribute to the sustainable development of the territories where we operate

was the social investment made by GEB and its subsidiaries in 2021. 37% of the investment was voluntary
emissions reduction. We are aligned with the NDCs of the countries where we are present. In Colombia we will reduce GHG emissions by 51% by 2030, and we will be carbon-neutral by 2050
we offset all of GEB's emissions in 2020 (3,209 tons EqCO2) by purchasing carbon credits from a REDD+ project in collective territories

Grupo Energía Bogotá Foundation

The Grupo Energía de Bogotá Foundation was established on September 30, 2008 and founded by Grupo Energía Bogotá S.A. ESP (GEB) and Transportadora de Gas Internacional S.A. ESP (TGI) to create an instrument to formulate, develop and lead programs, projects and initiatives that contribute to the progress and improvement of the socioeconomic and cultural conditions of the communities located in the areas where the Group's companies are present.

The administrative headquarters of the Foundation are in Bogotá and it has been in charge of different initiatives and projects since it was created at a national level that recognize society’s needs and aim to take advantage of the Group's strengths, resources and experience to promote a genuine relationship with communities, create shared value and contribute to the sustainable development of the territories of influence.

The Foundation is a non-profit legal entity under private law, for public service with legal and financial autonomy, subject to the Colombian legal regime.
