For TGI, generating relationships of trust is the principle to carry out the relationship in all territories and in this way, make the purpose of improving lives with sustainable and competitive energy a reality.
This is why the ethnic characterization of 294 communities located in 11 municipalities that are on the Ballena-Barrancabermeja gas pipeline was developed, managing to update the social base line, as well as knowing its main authorities.
The results of the social characterization work generated information of interest to the company, where six variables were addressed, including: geographic, demographic, economic, housing infrastructure, sociocultural and community perception.
On the other hand, the predominant language in the population located in the area of influence of the 11 municipalities is Spanish, followed by the Wayuunaiki dialect, since there is a relationship between the two cultures (Wayuu and Aliijuna). It is important to highlight that from Manaure to San Juan del Cesar there is a presence of Wayuu indigenous people, although the role changes, going from being owners of territory to being subordinated to the owners of private properties, where they do not exercise any authority.
At TGI we know that only by understanding and knowing the context will we be able to provide effective solutions that make it possible to impact the well-being, quality of life and productivity of people in the territories where we have a presence.
